Builders Bull??

Hi

Hope someone can help!

My builder is in the process of constructing the dwarf wall of my conservatory, due to an error with the dimensions (his own error, not mine) he is proposing to solve the dimension problem by not including a cavity between the internal brickwork and the external brickwork, telling me that two house bricks 'back to back' will suffice. I don't know enough about this type of thing to challenge him.

Cheers
Alison ???

Re:Builders Bull??

I am shocked that he would suggest that. Just tell him, at some point want to put insulation in the cavity, so what he is suggesting is out of the question and stand by it. There should be a minimum of 2 inches gap in the cavity. After all thats all he will save if he closes the gap. Good Luck with it.
