We have got 4 quotes for a conservatory, one is using Planitherm argon filled sealled units, 2 offer Pilkington K, 1 offers Pilkington float. One Pilks salesmen said that the argon units can 'implode, argon sink to the bottom and leak out'. Is Planitherm a reliable product?

SGG planitherm is a type of glass as is Pilk K

Planitherm has better insulation properties than Pilk K

Both can be made into units with or without argon

Argon will improve the insulation value of either

You will not notice any discernible difference between either of the coated glass types whether argon filled or not in my opinion.
