Unhappy Rock Solid Kitchens

Hey have you seen this site www.rocksteadykitchens.co.uk its Vance Miller, he's now got a website, have you seen the payment protection section it suggests payment on delivery is protecting your money and he states that the kitchens are tested and passed to BS6222 level H, buyers beware>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I think you'll find that it's rocksolidkitchens.co.uk

They also promise to survey, design and order the kitchen within 1 hour ... lot of thought goes into that then!

Unfortunately, Mr Miller's reputation precedes him and does him no favours.

Which is I imagine, why rocksolidkitchens (based in Oldham and whose phone they answer, 'Kitchens') claim they're nothing to do with him.

The best advice to anyone buying a kitchen is to do your homework and check out the company you're buying from, thoroughly. In these great days of low internet prices, there will always be people and companies trying to take advantage, be sure you're not someone who falls victim to one.

Caveat Emptor.

Yes, it's the same guy.

Actually he isn't necessarily competition for me - I could recommend his kitchens to my customers, if I trusted his quality control and his customer service - but I'm afraid I don't.

As I've said before, I don't like direct selling of kitchens and I don't think you'll get the best kitchen design from a service which takes an hour including the measuring of the room and the ordering of the kitchen - but that's a different argument.

If Vance Millers kitchens are so great, why don't more independent kitchen showrooms sell them? He's always sending out leaflets.

Don't take our word for it, though. See what Oldham Trading Standards has to say:

Rock solid kitchens

Oh yes its not rock steady although I would think they would be neither steady or solid. Majjies right though I dont think there is any competition there whatsoever, he operates right at the bottom end of the market and although he claims to give service it will not materialise. Its the buyers that have to beware not the competition....

i doubt very much, from what i have seen, that vance Miller is sat there actually selling kitchens himself. Online sources claim he is the 4rth largest kitchen supplier in the universe! So he must have a ready audience.

Okay even I admit that 1 hour is cutting it tight but if your running an operation of that size then you must have your design process nailed down around your own products. And again from what i have seen Vance Miller looks like a very clued up individual.

i did a quick google on him and to be fair if you look at sites like blagger, its not like he's not trying, and i'm no numpty but theres an awfult lot of one hit wonders going on, raising thier issues and then vanishing, highly suspicous, a bit like me i suppose

And finally, Trading Standards - they are hardly infallable, its well known within my industry (sport equipment manufacturing) that the Trading Standards are full of s**t, pardon my french!

I have read with great satisfaction some of the points Vance Miller has brought up on his site http://www.vance-miller.com/tradingstandards.htm and i can understand how this happenes. They are well known for manipulating figures to make thier case, i would be very suprised indeed if the Trading Standards ever manage to stop this man.

However I always feel people should be given the benifit of the doubt, if he's got a website then great, havent we all. Warning people of potential mishaps is also novel but i have a saying, and its one that i live by. "the past does not equal the future" if a person is trying to redeem themselves or progress in life, we should encourage them wholeheartidly, and stop ourselves from dragging people down.

I would like to wish Vance Miller the very best of luck, may he find the road to redemption worthwhile and i would also urge others to encourage him. i look forward to seeing him on telly again.

Back to rock solid kitchens, its a nice website, nice pictures, i'd be inclined to buy, maybe even inclined to recomend a friend, its a novel feature. Majjie maybe you should call them and ask for some samples, at those prices you could make a nice living if the quality is up to your standards? worth a try.

JohnB - you seem to know alot about what Mr Miller has to offer and how he operates, and your also very sure that customers will be let down, care to enlighten us on your obviously superior service, product or company. And how you know that this website is linked to Mr Miller?? hhmmm know its not that difficult to suss out, your obviously one of his competitors to be able to hone into a website and somehow figure it all out and say with 'such conviction' thats its Vance Miller? I'm interested to know, maybe i can use this tactic against my competitors? but that would be very poor form and not to mention, underhand.

I would suggest the forum administration look into this thread occasionaly, as this kind of tactic is not very sportsmanlike.

Talking Rock Solid Kitchens

This is a well written PR statement, I think the best bet is to see how many complaints clock up, a "sports equipment manufacturer" very good, would that be mountain bikes??

ahaa. on the back foot already mr JB. Afraid your game is up?

You still havent answered my questions, exposed are we. i like they way your attempting to turn this around my John Bryne but i'm not in the Mountain biking trade, we produce 'iron and hollow weights' for gyms around the world. I care not to mention the brand for fear of reprisals from little mushrooms like you.

So i ask my question again, maybe i will get an answer this time..
JohnB - you seem to know alot about what Mr Miller has to offer and how he operates, and your also very sure that customers will be let down, care to enlighten us on your obviously superior service, product or company. And how you have come to conclusion that this website is linked to Mr Miller?

i'm genuinly concirned, i would actually like to know, this is not some double bluff PR stunt. Whatever gave you that idea, must be the fcat that your used to this kind of smear campaign, infact your posts smacks of political objectives, perhaps we have a member of the Trading Standards in our ranks?

A straight answer would be appreciated, for the benefit of all!

Talking

From slick PR to outright aggression interesting..

It will be interesting to see how this develops, it looks like a good argument brewing here as well
