i doubt very much, from what i have seen, that vance Miller is sat there actually selling kitchens himself. Online sources claim he is the 4rth largest kitchen supplier in the universe! So he must have a ready audience.
Okay even I admit that 1 hour is cutting it tight but if your running an operation of that size then you must have your design process nailed down around your own products. And again from what i have seen Vance Miller looks like a very clued up individual.
i did a quick google on him and to be fair if you look at sites like blagger, its not like he's not trying, and i'm no numpty but theres an awfult lot of one hit wonders going on, raising thier issues and then vanishing, highly suspicous, a bit like me i suppose
And finally, Trading Standards - they are hardly infallable, its well known within my industry (sport equipment manufacturing) that the Trading Standards are full of s**t, pardon my french!
I have read with great satisfaction some of the points Vance Miller has brought up on his site
http://www.vance-miller.com/tradingstandards.htm and i can understand how this happenes. They are well known for manipulating figures to make thier case, i would be very suprised indeed if the Trading Standards ever manage to stop this man.
However I always feel people should be given the benifit of the doubt, if he's got a website then great, havent we all. Warning people of potential mishaps is also novel but i have a saying, and its one that i live by. "the past does not equal the future" if a person is trying to redeem themselves or progress in life, we should encourage them wholeheartidly, and stop ourselves from dragging people down.
I would like to wish Vance Miller the very best of luck, may he find the road to redemption worthwhile and i would also urge others to encourage him. i look forward to seeing him on telly again.
Back to rock solid kitchens, its a nice website, nice pictures, i'd be inclined to buy, maybe even inclined to recomend a friend, its a novel feature. Majjie maybe you should call them and ask for some samples, at those prices you could make a nice living if the quality is up to your standards? worth a try.
JohnB - you seem to know alot about what Mr Miller has to offer and how he operates, and your also very sure that customers will be let down, care to enlighten us on your obviously superior service, product or company. And how you know that this website is linked to Mr Miller?? hhmmm know its not that difficult to suss out, your obviously one of his competitors to be able to hone into a website and somehow figure it all out and say with 'such conviction' thats its Vance Miller? I'm interested to know, maybe i can use this tactic against my competitors? but that would be very poor form and not to mention, underhand.
I would suggest the forum administration look into this thread occasionaly, as this kind of tactic is not very sportsmanlike.
