Infinity Kitchens - In Administration (aka Di Lusso Kitchens)
I would encourage any customer of Infinity who has had a negative experience (and mine is incredibly negative!!) to promptly write to the administrators Leonard Curtis, including a description of your losses (and quickly). I am doing so and will be copying in Qualitas, the DTI, Watchdog and my MP! Personally from my experience, I am convinced they were trading while insolvent and as such the directors and any other staff colluding in this should be prosecuted and action must be taken.
Ditto if your experience was with Di Lusso kitchens as they are the same suspects and it appears they have done the same thing before. How this can be allowed to happen I don't know! Lets try and make all the stress and financial losses we are suffering mean something!
Hi, new to the forum. Just stumbled upon this by accident whilst trying to find out what the F is going on with Infinity.
My new bedroom isnt complete and I have been trying to get in touch via telephone for a week but get the "sorry our telephones are temporarily..." rubbish.
Was thinking of visiting my nearest sales office in Darlington.
I'm only missing 3 bedroom doors, every handle, some backing and some boxing in.
Next step??!!
Cheers
J
Hi
I have managed to source the missing handles for my kitchen at diy-kitchens.com. This is supplied by PWS who supplied some products to Infinity - they gave me the name of the site as they only supply to trade and couldn't sell to me direct. Your doors may be on it, otherwise contact DK Distribution (Infinity's main distributor who appears to have brought the business but be very cautious) and they could put you in contact with a supplier or do as I have done and search the net as none of these products are sold exclusively. Obviously, I would make sure any business with whom you contract is not connected with Infinity/Watkins UK Limited. Any decent supplier should take credit cards so you can try and protect yourself that way.
i am led to understand that although infinity owed vat there was no reason for liquidation since the previous week they delivered a large amount of kitchens without paying the suppliers or staff. So where did this money go? Mr Milward seems very capable of looking after himself having recently secured a position with moben again, jobs 4 the boys? maybe he was just trying to recoup his losses from Dillusso which sunk because of poor management!
I don't think that talking with any credit card companies is going to help.
From the information that I have acquired, Infinity did not have a Merchant arrangement with Credit Card Companies because of the debacle with Dilusso.
In fact they were far from trusted, allegedly.
On the other hand they did manage to obtain another consumer credit license and if anyone has a kitchen or bedroom covered by a finance agreement then they will have some additional consumer protection. Best speak to the lender in this regard.
Someone on another forum posted that Dilusso owed some £500k to DK Distribution when they went under. He obtained the full report from the receivers listing the full assets and liabilities.
I wonder how much DK have now lost in this enterprise and where all the old Infinity/Dilusso staff are now?
Anyone know???

They DID get another credit license - I was assured that this proved how trusted Infinity were!
This company is now trying to get the kitchens assessed and completed - but what guarantee is there that the workforce they are using will be any better (or any different)? After all, they did back Infinity!
I was assured that 'Infinity has gone' but . . . .
So far the NICEIC have inspected my kitchen - and declared the electrical work unsatisfactory while declining to do anything about it as I could not prove that the final damage was done by the ELECTRICIAN rather than the fitters. They are also in the picture with regard to the electrical contractor being used to 'rubber stamp' the installations for Part P. - don't know whether anything will have been done about this.
The NICEIC recommended that I go to the Building Regulations department of the council - no use at all!
The credit company is WELL aware of the problems caused by Infinity - rather late in the day as they knew the relationship with DiLusso. They are now trying to organise remedial work - but will this be any better?
Having had my previous kitchen removed as I did not want a 're-jigged' kitchen, it seems that that is what I will be offered, and of an inferior quality to what was there before.
All suggestions gratefully received!

Agree with the negativity! Have spent over a year trying to get things 'sorted'. Workers were sent FOUR times, each time leaving something else wrong.
My kitchen is not new, luxury or fitted, which was what I signed up for.
Also agree that these people must be stopped - it isn't as if this is the first time they have done this kind of thing . . .
