Canadian owner seeks help on wooden frames
I'm at a loss on how to proceed.
We purchased a conservatory from Baltic Pine approx 15 years ago, as a kit, and had it shipped with our belonging, back to Canada.
Built the unit with basically no problems.
Fast forward to today, and I'm having rotting issues only with the framing members that hold the polycarbonate sheets. It is rotting 'up' the frames, to the point now, I'm worried about the roofs integrity, especially with the snow loads we receive in the winter.
Virtually nobody in Canada makes/manufactures/sells anything like this, so I can't just pop around to a local diy and get new framing members... they give me a dumb blank stare when I mention 'conservatory' :-(
Here is my longshot question. I'm looking for a company that I could purchase aluminum roofing frame members that would replace those from Baltic pine. Even further, I'd have to get these shipped to Canada! Does anyone know of a source/contact?
I'd have to go look up the exact model I have, but it's a 'victorian model', approx 10x14', with 2 foot hip walls.
Thanks in advance,
Neil
