foundation for conservatory

Can anyone tell me if you need to put a damp course in the wall when you are building the walls for a conservatory which will 2FT high, as i intend to build my own walls and conservatory.

if you dont install any precautions for damp you will be replacing your conservatory in a short time and if you intend to attach the two foot wall to your existing property you will undermine the existing damp course.
This will be come apparant to you when you notice the development a horrible black mouldy patch on the inside plastered wall of your lovely home.
