Stained Glass Window Panels - Safety regulations

I've been trying to find out the regulations for making stained glass internal doors.? I want to design and make my own leaded stained glass french door window panels.? Each pane will measure 16" x 14" (406mm x 356 mm) there are 4 windows in each door (two doors).? I am obviously concerned about the safety aspects as I do have a young son.? Most stained glass that I have worked with is? 2-3mm thick.? Is this going to be a problem?? Your advice would be most welcome. Thank you.? :

Stained glass safety regulations

The safety regulations for critical area glazing have an exclusion clause that says that traditional stained glass windows and leaded light panels do not have to be toughened safety glass because of the small panes of glass used. Also there is no thickness requirements in stained glass panels.

If I am concerned about a stained glass window I am fitting then I will either put a piece of toughened glass at the back of it or seal it into a triple glazed unit.
