Question Acceptable gaps in New UPVC windows

Hi,

I've just having some new UPVC windows installed into my house which are being finished today. Everything looks OK apart from the bay window and a small back window. The bay window has a 20mm frame extender inserted at one end and the back window has a 20mm - 30mm gap at one end that's been filled with foam.
The installers said they couldn't fit a frame extender in the back window as it was slightly to narrow at one point along the gap but they will make it look OK with some plastic trim. This is one of the largest UPVC companies in England and I have read some bad feed back on the net since signing my contract so my questions are:-
Are frame extenders acceptable as these should be made to measure?
What should I do as I haven't parted with any cash yet?

Can anyone advise?
Jason
